Book Review - Female Masculinity

Readers who have followed the postmodern gender debate in the university presses (ranging from Thais Morgan's sedately twisted analyses of Victorian male lesbianism to Judith Butler's acclaimed Gender Trouble) will delight in the latest little earthquake: Judith Halberstam's deft separation of masculinity from the male body in Female Masculinity. If what we call "masculinity" is taken to be "a naturalized relation between maleness and power," Halberstam argues, "then it makes little sense to examine men for the contours of that masculinity's social construction." We can learn more from other embodiments of masculinity, like those found in drag-king performances, in the sexual stance of the stone butch, and in female-to-male transgenderism. Halberstam's subject is so new to critical discourse that her approach can be somewhat scattershot--there is simply too much to say--but her prose is lucid and deliberate, and her attitude refreshingly relaxed. Essential reading for gender studies and a lively contribution to cultural studies in general. --Regina Marler

Book Review - Ultimate Gay Sex

Customer Review

My (boy)friends refer to me as a "Muscle God". I really put great efforts to be 365 days in top condition and I am satisfied only with the best. I have very active sexual life and seeing, knowing and feeling that both my partner and I have a fantastic time together is of paramount importance for me! From time to time I keep an eye on books and DVDs related to gay sex. Unfortunately, all available on the market are still far from being "ultimate".

This is one of the 2 books which are good compared to the rest. I like Ford's light, informative and slightly humoristic style of writing. The photos in the book are good quality although an experienced gay will not be very excited from them. The author himself does not believe in the need for providing great details and this is a week point in presenting positions, techniques, etc. However, there is a broad spectrum of information which can be useful for beginners and gays with limited experience. For those of you who already know a lot and seek really the ultimate I would highly recommend "Scientifically Guaranteed Male Multiple Orgasms and Ultimate Sex: Restart natural penis enlargement, Eliminate forever premature ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, impotence and Enjoy daily orgasms".

The author is hetero but this does not matter because his book is 100% based on advanced science. Actually the best part I found in it is his breakthrough discovery "The VIP Muscle". In just 2 weeks from reading it I enjoy daily more than 34 multiple orgasms! I taught my boyfriend as well and now you can't imagine what indescribable pleasure gives you high quality anal sex combined with the multi-orgasms from The VIP Muscle. Depending on your level of experience and knowledge I recommend both books.

Book Review - What God Has Joined Together? : A Christian Case for Gay Marriage

Gay marriage has become the most important domestic social issue facing twenty-first-century Americans -- particularly Americans of faith. Most Christians are pro-marriage and hold traditional family values, but should they endorse extending marriage rights to gays and lesbians? If Jesus enjoined us to love our neighbors as ourselves, and the homosexual is our neighbor, does that mean we should accept and bless gay marriages? These and other, related questions are tearing many faith-based communities apart.

Across the country, states have voted, courts have debated, and churches have divided over the legitimacy of same-sex marriage. Amid the uproar one perspective is decidedly missing: that of thoughtful, pro-marriage Christians who, informed by their faith, are struggling to make sense of this issue. What God Has Joined Together? is an effort to bridge the divide between marriage-supporting and gay-supporting people of faith by showing why both sides have important things to say and showing how both sides can coexist. Drawing on scientific research as well as on the Bible, the authors explain that marriage is emotionally, physically, financially, and spiritually beneficial for everyone, not just heterosexuals.

They debunk myths about sexual orientation, assess claims of sexual reorientation, and explore what the Bible does and does not say about same-sex relationships. The book ends with a persuasive case for gay marriage and outlines how this can be a win-win solution for all.
